Task

Children’s International Medical Group came to us with an incomplete site. It was created and set up by someone else but we were hired to finish the job by adding new employees, doctors, clinics and to complete information on existing pages. When that job was done, Children’s contacted us again to customize the design/look of several different parts of the site to help better meet their needs and match their branding. We highly suggested a redesign and change out the framework that it was built on to a more efficient and faster framework. We worked awhile with them on a monthly basis to add/change information on the site. We worked with several different appointees and informed each of the new appointees of the condition in which the site was in when we were originally contacted. Eventually, someone new took control of the task at this company who switched to a new web design company without giving us the benefit of letting them know that we received the site in bad condition with a heavy, slow framework and that we had been suggesting all along that needs to be redesigned on a more lightweight and efficient framework.

It is unfortunate that with the high turnover and changing of hands in this department of this business that they lost sight of who, what, where, when and how. To reiterate, the original design and everything to do with the core/framework set up of this site was done by a previous person who worked in-house with this company. We were sad to see them go, but feel 100% confident that we did everything we could to suggest what we felt the site needed in order to make things faster and bring it up to speed with the websites that we build from scratch.
